Tenerife is, without a doubt, an incredibly beautiful island, but there are still especially picturesque places which I have experienced many times as a professional photographer in Tenerife.
Here I will not delimit the island by north and south, west and east, but I will simply tell you about 10 most spectacular and picturesque places in Tenerife for a photoshoot.
1. Mirador de La Tarta
(Parque Nacional El Teide)
It is one of the best places to see the phenomenon of the sea of clouds in Tenerife.
Thanks to the trade winds, a cloud front is created at a height of between 500 and 1,200 meters, which collides with the mountain range that rises around volcano El Teide.
2. Mirador de La Ruleta
(Parque Nacional El Teide)
Located in Roques de García, this viewpoint allows you to take some very impressive images.
Despite giving the impression of a dangerous place, it is very safe and gives the impression of standing “at the end of the Earth”.
3. Cruz del Carmen
(Parque rural de Anaga)
Apart from the viewpoint from where you can find the beautiful views of the El Teide volcano, here you can enter “the enchanted forest” of Anaga.
It is one of the areas with the most vegetation on the island.
4. Playa de Benijo.
Playa de Benijo, despite its somewhat difficult accessibility, is one of the most visited natural beaches in the north of the island.
It has beautiful views thanks to the rocks and its black sand that, at low tide, reflects like a mirror. It has one of the most spectacular sunsets in Tenerife.
5. Camino viejo
(Parque rural de Anaga)
It is a somewhat hidden place, marked as a blind alley. It is a narrow path flanked by high walls on which tree branches rise, forming a green dome.
A place with a fantasy or fairy tale atmosphere.
6. Mirador de Los Gigantes
The closest viewpoint to the impressive cliffs of Los Gigantes, from where there are impressive views of the ocean. You will feel on top of the world.
7. Montaña Amarilla
(Costa del Silencio)
Although called a beach, it is not the typical beach. There is no sand here, but the warm colored rocks are very different and unique.
It is a very varied location, but available only during the hours of low tide. It has a very special atmosphere, both for the place and for the people who visit it.
8. Playa de La Tejita
It is a long beach (about 1 km.) next to the Montaña Roja Special Nature Reserve.
Due to its length, textured red-brown rocks and non-touristic atmosphere, it is one of the most picturesque and comfortable beaches for taking photos.
9. San Miguel de Tajao
It is a fishing village of white rocks, with a long pier and a very picturesque and authentic small port, with its colorful boats and beautiful seaviews.
In addition, it is a must have place for anyone who wants to enjoy good fish and seafood.
10. Masca
(Parque Rural Del Teno)
One of the most famous places in Tenerife is the village Masca, a “picture from a postcard”. You have probably seen these landscapes in the advertising shots of the island.
As a photo location, Masca can easily compete with the Teide volcano, since along with it is one of the most recognizable and symbolic places in Tenerife.
